U-turns

Mary’s Monday Musings to Quilt Encouragement

U-turns

The city’s layout was confusing. The GPS failed to show which way we were traveling. The signs designating the road names were hard to find.  Over and over again, we needed to make a U-turn in order to reach the destination we sought. We made so many u-turns, it became laughable. Fortunately, we discovered our mistakes quickly; and because the roads weren’t crowded, there were plenty of safe places to make the turns.

Isn’t that a lot like our lives? We blunder by saying something that is misunderstood. We pursue a task we aren’t well-equipped to do. We start a habit that is detrimental. We miss a cue that would help us. Fortunately, God not only allows u-turns, He helps us make them. If we ask, He will give a second change to recognize his cues. He will help us break a habit. He will equip us for any task he wants us to perform. He will enable us to apologize, improve relationships, break unprofitable habits. Let’s remember to ask Him to help us with whatever we need to turn around.
