Mary’s Monday Musings to Quilt Encouragement

Enthusiasm

The child wore a fluffy pink skirt that swirled as she danced. She set quite an example of enthusiastic worship during our church service. Bouncing and stepping, she periodically swung one little leg out in front of her. She kept going, never stopping except when the music paused between songs. I found myself wishing I could borrow her energy. She vigorously danced for the entire worship service.

I don’t know what her thoughts were while she danced, but it’s safe to say her worship was uncomplicated and mixed with the simple joy of moving without a whit of self-consciousness. She made me want to become more spontaneous and enthusiastic in worship and willing to shake off the hindrance of reticence and instead openly express my love for God.
